How to rectify problems with Hikvision CCTV recorder?

Our discussion topic today will be on how to rectify No link or connection failed on your CCTV systems.

We often get customers calling us and informing that they are unable to view their systems via their mobile phone.

Following the steps below will help you to solve the problem and rectify the issue yourself.

  1.  Connect your mobile phone to the router.
  2.  download FING app from app store / play store.
  3.  Scan the network to see if you are able to find (HIKVISION) with a ip address on it.
  4.  If Yes, then most probably your router got reset and the port-fowarding settings are gone.
  5.  Re-do your port forwarding settings and you are good to go.

If the Ip address doesn’t show up on Fing, then you should check if the recorder or adapter has any power lights. Most of the time, it may be due to power adapter failure and you can purchase one from your local store. (48V DC 1.3a for 4ch recorder) or (48V DC 2a for 8CH recorder).
